Reasonable as a hostel and a reasonably quaint old building. Some of the staff have very poor English though and a lot of the guests seem to be Russian, so it may not be the best option for foreign visitors.

Clean and tidy place to live and offers best discounted rate , i had a good stay as it is near red square . Would definetly go there again .

Cheap hostel but I have some complaints. First they said they can register my visa for free, but when I arrived to the place I had to pay 200Rub which is not much after all. But then they made a mistake with my passport number and date. Twice! And they had to fill everything three times and I felt stupid going back to reception everytime I found some mistake in the papers.
Then there was just one toilet and one shower for 20 people, because they were renovating all others.

Great Hostel!

Just spent a long weekend with four Dutch friends and it was great! Big and clean kitchen with all facilities. Possibility to chill out on some couches in the small 'living room'. Very close to Kitai-Gorod Metro station (2min walk). Very friendly and helpful staff, who speak (almost) fluent English. I would recommend anyone looking for a cheap and centrally located hostel to book here.

Only downside: limited toilet facilities as one of the two toilets is in a bathroom together with a shower, so that room is often occupied by someone taking a shower. But I guess that's normal for a hostel in an old building in the city center.

Not really good. Not really bad. Better search another one. Too small.they overbooked the hostel and staff needed to sleep in the community room . Hence we couldn't use it. Wtf
