Staff are all brilliantly friendly, rooms are lovely. Location is noisy but the rooms block out the sound well and are also some distance from the elevator shaft.

Hotel La Maison is one of the worst experiences I have had with a hotel. Prior to my arrival I saw a lower selling rate online so I called the hotel to see if they would change my rate to the lower one. After rudely telling me no I received a notification that my card had been charged for the full cost of the stay. I called to notify them that per my booking confirmation I was to pay at check in they need to refund my card immediately. The rude girl on the phone then proceed to charge my card two more times. The total charges to my card prior to my arrival where $3170, plus international fees and phone calls. After several attempts at resolution and no apologies, one of the staff said we could have free breakfast during our stay, that was the only compensation for this 3 day struggle. Well fast forward to check in. No greeting or welcome just a cold face telling me breakfast was not included....after a very long conversation and showing email "proof" she says fine and tosses our room keys at us. Fast forward to check out...All breakfast charges were listed on our room bill which also included another guests name, address and telephone number listed at the top. Now I had to spend about 30 mins standing at the check out waiting for the reception to sort it all out. I worked for Marriott for 12 years and I have never experienced any hotel this unorganised and unwilling to admit their mistakes. I have still received no apology, not a single word from the manager...Who I have asked to contact me about 5 times now. The massive charges on my credit card prevented me from being able to accommodate other expenses I have. It's rediculous that this happened.

My experience here was not good, which is unfortunate. The rooms are well furnished and clean (kinda: look under the bed), but they tried to cheat me into paying things they displayed as complementary.

They left a bottle of water, a mini-pack of chips and a mini-pack of salted snacks on the desk (outside of the minibar) just like an awful lot of other honest hotels I visited in the past. But they tried to make me pay for that. When I said it was not good to fool people into having snacks they don't want to pay for, they canceled the payment of the water (6 euro for one liter of warm still water), but they made me pay 8.40 euro for a very very little bag of chips and another equally little bag of salted snacks.

I have no problem into paying what I consume. If I choose to do that: they fooled me into thinking those were free.

Very, very unprofessional. Don't go there.

Aside from the fact that every room is unique with its own boutique ambience, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything about this place is easy going, but professional at the same time. If you want a funittle getaway with a reasonably priced and memorable hotel (room), look no further!
