Very, very few things beat a freshly-poured glass of super-fresh Augustiner Hell beer, and there's few places that you can get it fresher then at this brewery-owned beer hall/restaurant. A little bit cozy with warm wood paneling, a little bit sprawling, there's space here for having a quick drink as well as a longer stint. Best bring cash, as in many places in Germany.

The quiet historical brauhaus that is a great reprieve from the craziness of Hofbrau across the street.

The food and service was awesome (given the 4/5 star rating)! I went in here because I felt like the vibe at the Hofbrauhaus was too chaotic for my mood. I don't regret it!
